Supporting education, growth, and the La Salle heritage through community-powered fundraising. Every mile run, every dollar raised brings this dream closer to reality.

Hi, my name is Finnley Gollick, and I'm a sophomore at Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School. In March 2027, I've been given the opportunity to travel to France with my school on an eight-day educational and cultural trip. About 50 students will be participating, and the experience is designed to expand our worldview, deepen our understanding of history and faith, and expose us to global culture firsthand.
This trip is especially meaningful because it commemorates St. John Baptist de La Salle, the founder of the De La Salle Christian Brothers. His mission was to create schools so that students of lesser wealth could still receive a quality education—something that deeply aligns with why this trip matters to me and why I'm working hard to help fund it.
I'm very active in sports and love staying healthy and challenged. I play soccer for Pittsburgh Independence FC, futsal for Real Stars FC, and I play soccer and run track for Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School.
Sports have taught me discipline, teamwork, and consistency—values that carry into everything I do, including this fundraiser.
Looking ahead, I'll be considering different college options in the coming years, and this trip is an important step in becoming more worldly, informed, and prepared for what comes next. While school helps build my knowledge base, this experience will help me understand the world beyond the classroom.
This is not a cheap trip. The total cost is approximately $6,000, and my goal is to raise that through fundraising, working, and community support. I'm incredibly grateful to anyone willing to help me reach this goal.
As a local Shaler-area kid, I'm especially thankful for the residents and businesses in the Shaler community who may choose to support me—whether through sponsorships, donations, or encouragement.
